From signup to your first
health score in minutes
SunsetRadar tells you when your SaaS vendors are dying — before you find out the hard way. Here's how to use it.
Create your account
Sign up with your email and a password. No credit card required for the free tier. Your account is ready instantly — no email confirmation needed.
Pick your vendors to monitor
In your dashboard, click + Add Vendor. Choose from 118+ pre-loaded SaaS vendors
across DevOps, CRM, payments, HR, analytics, and more — or enter any domain to add a custom vendor (Pro+).
Free tier: up to 3 vendors. Pro and Team plans unlock the full catalog.
Read your health scores
Each vendor gets a score from 0 to 100. The score is calculated from multiple signals —
not just "is the website up?" Higher scores mean a healthier, more active vendor.
A vendor can be technically "up" but still score low if hiring has stopped, their GitHub has gone quiet, and their changelog hasn't been updated in months. That's the signal.
Understanding deep signals
Click Deep Scan in the dashboard nav to run a full signal analysis on all your vendors. Expand any vendor row to see a breakdown of each signal:
Set up alerts Pro+
On Pro ($49/mo) and above, configure email alerts so you're notified the moment a vendor's health score drops
below your threshold. Set custom alert levels per vendor — some tools you depend on more than others.
Team ($149/mo) adds Slack notifications and webhook delivery to any endpoint, so you can pipe
vendor health events directly into your incident management workflow.
Add custom vendors Pro+
Not every vendor is in our database. On Pro and Team plans, you can add any publicly-accessible domain —
including internal platforms, niche integrations, or vendors we haven't indexed yet.
Enter the domain in + Add Vendor, give it a name and category, and SunsetRadar will
start monitoring it immediately.
Use migration playbooks when a vendor scores low
A low score doesn't mean panic — it means plan. When a vendor drops into the warning or high-risk zone:
1. Check the signal breakdown — which signals are low? A sudden stop in hiring is more alarming than a slow changelog.
2. Cross-reference externally — check their Twitter/X, recent funding news, and community forums for corroborating signals.
3. Identify alternatives — most vendor categories have 3–5 viable alternatives. The time to evaluate them is before you need them.
4. Plan a migration window — data export, API compatibility checks, and team training take time. Start when you have 3–6 months of runway.
